Root/Superuser
|

A person logged in as Root (or
Superuser) has access rights
to system-level tasks. Root user
can, for example, add and remove
access rights to other users.
For example, home users who are
the only users of their Linux
system can protect their system
against accidental misuse by
logging in to a specifically
created User account instead
of the Root account.
