How
do I avoid SIGPIPE signal when
my server loses connection to client?
|
|
UNIX generates a SIGPIPE when
connection to peer is lost while
sending or receiving data. This
problem can occur when using
the low-level socket interface
of the DXAINET library of Ebsotech
IX™ SDK. With high-level
Receiver, Listener, and Message
Receiver objects, this is handled
internally.
You can ignore the signal with
a UNIX-specific request:
#ifdef unix
signal (SIGPIPE, SIG_IGN);
#endif
